Breaking Chains Recovery Houses are male and female recovery residence for individuals struggling with substance abuse disorder. We work to create a safe, growth-provoking environment for those in recovery. Breaking Chains Recovery House is MCORR and MDRN certified. 

 Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, we offer a supportive and nurturing environment for those on their journey to recovery.

Our Approach

At our recovery house, we embrace a holistic approach to recovery. While we are rooted in the 12-step tradition and consider NA/AA participation essential, we also encourage and support other methods of recovery. We believe that every individual's path to healing is unique.

Structured Progress

To support our residents' recovery journeys, we've implemented a phase system. This system allows residents to earn privileges, including overnight passes, as they make progress in their recovery.

A Place to Call Home

For us, it's not just about providing a safe place to stay; it's about creating a home where residents can find solace and support. We understand that the journey to recovery involves healing on emotional, mental, and physical levels, and our house is designed to facilitate this healing process.

Collaboration with a Psych NP

We're proud to announce our recent collaboration with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) who is not only a prescriber but also a licensed therapist. This dedicated professional will assist our clients in addressing ongoing mental health disorders and can prescribe Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when appropriate.
